UNISON members working for Sandwell Leisure Trust, alongside our sister unions GMB and Unite, were solid on the 10 May strike for better pay and a return to national NJC pay.
Picket lines were busy at the centres targeted with Haden Hill, Tipton Leisure, Smethwick Baths, Portway Lifestyle Centre and Wednesbury Leisure Centre all being shut due to the industrial action.
Having been fired and rehired to remove staff from national pay, UNISON have been in dispute for Sandwell Leisure Trust for over 18 months.
UNISON calls upon the Board of SLT to settle the disputes by returning staff to NJC pay.
