UNISON, alongside 10 other national trade unions have endorsed this Stand Up To Racism counter-demonstration to the one organised by Tommy Robinson.
Trade Unions stand up to the far right for very good reasons. Whenever the far right or fascists take power trade unions face restrictive laws, being banned and activists persecuted, imprisoned or murdered. Amongst the first to face the gas chambers in Nazi Germany in the 1930s were trade union activists.
