| Congratulations to all who work in Registration Services, at the Register Office, the Coroner’s Office, and Bereavement Services.
You are UNISON Champions for 2024 because you provide an excellent service to the people of Sandwell and are a fantastic example of a brilliant public service. From the registration of births, deaths, and marriages, Citizenship Ceremonies and Marriage and Civil Partnership Ceremonies, coroners investigations and burial and cremation services. All are undertaken by staff with customer’s needs in mind first and foremost. Whoever the public are, staff always make a positive difference and help them with their journey. The “can do” attitude of all staff is at the core to providing an excellent public service. Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be one of the most difficult and challenging times a family will ever have to face. As well as the emotional impact, many will find themselves in a place they have never been before with many aspects of what to do and how to do it unknown. You make a difference by always delivering the best service that you can. Thanks for being a Team with exceptional customer service skills when dealing with families and for going the extra mile to assist customers at every opportunity. You are all true Champions.
