UNISON members at Sandwell College are voting on this years pay offer after negotiations with College management, alongside the UCU, concluded.
The offer being put out to vote is for a 5% increase on all pay points, plus an increase in mileage from 40p to 50p per mile. These increases are due to commence from 1 August.
The constructive negotiations also covered making any staff on temporary contracts for 3 years permanent employees and both parties agreed to begin next years pay discussions in March.
The Branch is recommending acceptance of this offer and urges all members to use your vote and return ballot papers asap. The conclusion of the UNISON vote will be published here on 31 May.
